Plug In Digital and Ultra sign a publishing partnership
Plug In Digital reveals a publishing partnership with Ultra, the gaming platform utilizing carbon neutral certified blockchain technology to create a fairer ecosystem for gamers and developers.
Plug In Digital reveals its new partnership with Ultra, the first entertainment platform providing all key games industry services under a single roof, accessible through a single login. Built around PC games distribution store, Ultra Games platform will provide access to countless centralized and decentralized services: Discover, buy, play and sell your games and in-game items, watch live-streaming feeds, interact with your favorite influencers, participate in contests, compete in tournaments, and much more.
This multi-year partnership means closed beta users will see Plug In Digital titles being added to Ultra platform over the next few months. Ultra will be working closely with Plug In Digital to onboard numerous upcoming unannounced titles throughout 2022 and beyond. Plug In Digital is also partnered with the likes of Focus Home Interactive, Paradox Interactive, Konami, Nacon, The Game Bakers, and Raw Fury, allowing for a variety of titles to be enjoyed by Ultra users.
Francis Ingrand, founder & CEO of Plug In Digital commented: « Joining the Ultraverse is a wonderful opportunity. With Ultra, our partner games will be part of a fastly growing community. They will be granted very nice opportunities to reach even more players and benefit from all the platform features for sharing and spreading the word about indie gems! »
Ultra’s NFT marketplace allows gamers to trade and sell games, alongside other digital goods like skins, providing more freedom when owning digital goods. Unlike other blockchain technologies, Ultra is incredibly conscious of its environmental impact and is certified Carbon Neutral from Natural Capital Partners, being over two billion times more energy-efficient than Bitcoin, emitting only 0.00000037 kg of CO2 per transaction. With only 23.5 tonnes of CO2 emitted per year, Ultra then offsets 277 tonnes of CO2 per year, delivering incredibly low power consumption and responsible blockchain pioneering.
“Indie games are fantastic but often haven’t been given the spotlight that they deserve. We’re supporting Plug In Digital’s mission in being the driving force behind indie successes by onboarding many awesome titles to Ultra Games. » said Nicolas Gilot, Co-CEO of Ultra. « Our partnership will be exploring the ways in which our services will benefit developers and gamers to create a more rewarding and valuable gaming experience for all.”
Ultra will be working closely together to provide solutions for Plug In Digital’s extensive list of IPs and game developers, creating NFTs for many released and upcoming titles and distributing the content on Ultra’s NFT Marketplace.
