Plug In Digital’s growth hailed by national and European rankings

For the 4th year in a row, the French video games distribution and publishing company, has been awarded as one of the fastest growing companies in Europe, and even N°1 in Entertainment industries.

Every year, the leading business newspapers, The Financial Times in the UK and Les Echos in France, publish rankings of the companies that achieved the most spectacular growths within a three-years period. With a 192% evolution between 2017 and 2019, Plug In Digital had been ranked as the number one in the entertainment industry by Les Echos, and reached the 145th global position in the Top 500 Growth Champions for the 4th time in a row, among other promising French companies.

Plug In Digital also stands out on the European scale, attaining the 812th position in the FT 1000: Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies. The French video games expert shines by its efficiency and grows visibly, with a number of employees which increased from 6 to 30+ in only three years. A large growth supported by the rise of its publishing label, Dear Villagers, and the opening of its subsidiary in China in 2019.

“More than this spectacular growth years after years, which I’m very proud of, my key satisfaction is that Plug In Digital is now built on solid and diverse foundations. We grew on all the fields of the video game industry, from PC distribution, our roots, where we are a key player worldwide, to publishing on pc, consoles and mobile with our two quickly rising brands. We also now have strong benefits from our pioneer spirit on markets like cloud gaming or subscription-based offers on mobile. We are really successfully truthfull to our motto: “your games everywhere”!” Said Francis Ingrand, founder & CEO of Plug In Digital.

With the recent launch of a new publishing brand called PID Publishing, Plug In Digital pursues its development with solid foundations. Its strong activity and wide field of actions led Plug In Digital to surpass 10 million turnover in 2020. The company counts nowadays more than 40 employees, with 13 hires in 2020. Operating on PC, mobile, consoles and Cloud gaming, the French video game expert keeps on developing its partnerships with strong and talented companies worldwide like Tencent, Amazon Luna, 1C Entertainment, Deutsche Telekom and way more. After a successful fundraising of €2 million in 2019, a second one is on the way for 2021, promising lots of fresh interesting projects.
